Principal's Letter

From the desk of Myra Baker, Upper School Principal

Welcome to the WCA website.  We are so happy that you are interested in our school.  We are looking forward to another outstanding year.  Last year was incredible.  Academically and athletically, we had an outstanding year.  As the principal of the upper school, I am a very strong advocate of teacher and student accountability; accountability is the key to improved academics and discipline.  I also stress local mission projects because I want our students to recognize that there are many needs in our community.

The staff of the WCA Upper School is blessed because we have the opportunity each and every day to influence the lives of the future.  We try to approach every day of our lives with dedication, as though we are ambassadors of a better life because we are.  As we partner with parents, we want to continue to put our trust in God and step forward with the assurance that God is with us.  God continually allows us to experience His hand of blessing as we watch our students succeed.  WCA is God’s land, and Deuteronomy 11:12 says, “A land which the Lord thy God careth for: the eyes of the Lord thy God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year.”  With this promise, I know that WCA will have a great year.
