Faith & Friendship

Our past two chapels have focused on friendship, faith, and what it means to live as a Crusader.  Coach Speyrer led a heartfelt chapel about what it means to be a good friend - showing grace, being kind, supporting one another, and remembering the greatest friend we have in Jesus.  Students were able to chime in and share what they know about the Golden Rule - treating others the way we want to be treated - and what it looks like to treat our friends with kindness and respect, even when it isn’t always easy.

Then, during Mr. Credeur’s Crusader Chapel, students learned more about what it truly means to be a Crusader.  Crusaders are called to protect and serve, to lead with both courage and compassion, and to allow their faith to shape the way they live.  Mr. Credeur invited three of our Upper School Crusaders - Camille Chautin, Mikaela Credeur, and Matthew Lalonde - to join him for a student panel. 

They shared from the heart about balancing academics and athletics, choosing friends who encourage you, working with diligence and endurance, serving those around you, and seeking God even in the middle of busy seasons.  Their reminder was simple: we seek Him in all we do.  It was special for our younger students to hear from Upper School students who were sitting in those same elementary seats not so long ago - figuring out who they were and who they wanted to become, learning to work hard as their coursework became more challenging, and, most importantly, growing in their understanding of who they are in Christ.

Coming out of Homecoming Week, we are especially thankful for our Upper School students and Homecoming Court members who continue to model friendship, faith, service, character, and what it means to be a Crusader - all while giving God the glory!
